Good News!
Construction in our Phase 1 area is nearly complete, so some of our crews are beginning construction in our Phase 2 area!
So…what does that really mean for everyone in our Petoskey service area? Find out which step your area is in using our flow chart!
Hayes
A majority of the Hayes area is in the overhead/underground design and in-home installation phase. We are still wrapping up the final mainline construction and splicing connections for part of the Hayes area though. We expect this to be completed in September with the exception of a few small areas. The necessary ISP (internet service provider) equipment is installed, meaning the whole network of fiber lines in Hayes can be lit and providing an internet connection once construction and splicing are tested and completed. Be sure you have returned ALL your paperwork!
Petoskey East Update
A portion of our Petoskey East area is in the overhead/underground design and in-home installation phases. Construction and splicing for all of Petoskey East with the exception of a few small areas will be completed this week and turned over to the ISP side. Once the necessary equipment is up and running, all of Petoskey East will be opened to the overhead/underground design and then in-home installation phases. Be sure you have returned ALL your paperwork!
Petoskey West Update
Construction and splicing are ongoing in our Petoskey West area. We expect to move into the overhead/underground design and in-home installations portions later this fall. Be sure you have returned ALL your paperwork!
Resort Update
Construction and splicing are wrapping up in the Resort area and will be turned over to the ISP side to install equipment and light up the network soon. Installations are expected to begin later this fall. Be sure you have returned ALL your paperwork!
Phase 2 – Harbor Springs, West Traverse, Cross Village, Pellston North, Pellston South, Oden
If you haven’t already, you’ll start seeing our construction crews getting the poles ready and installing the main fiber lines. Crews may be installing fiber in or near your yard area. Please do not remove any flags marking utilities. We are excited to get a head start on the beginning construction process, but we still expect a majority of the in-home installations to take place in 2020.
Don’t Forget the Service Agreement
We cannot stress the importance of returning your SERVICE AGREEMENT and SITE PLAN enough! If you wait to turn that in, installation to your home will likely be delayed – and we all know you want service like, yesterday! If you have not received or returned those documents, or aren’t sure if you have, we’re more than happy to help! Email us at [email protected] and we’ll verify your account, or email/mail you a new copy if necessary!
