Update: July 1, 2020
With the end of the distance learning for the school year comes the end of our free Wi-Fi access as well. We are proud to have served as many in need as quickly as we could during this pandemic. As the new school year approaches, we will evaluate the situation and act accordingly.
In-person schools in Michigan have been shut down for the remainder of the school year. This news isn’t new. We know many of you have been trying to work from home for a month now. We’re continuing to work to bring in as many crews as we can to build and install our fiber network, but the construction of a fiber network is a big undertaking and we know there is still a gap for many rural areas.
We also know there is something we can do for our communities during this unprecedented time.
We have secured the necessary equipment and several locations throughout our Emmet and Charlevoix county service areas to be able to provide FREE Wi-Fi access for continued learning and video conferencing, all while empowering you to practice safe social distancing from the comfort of your vehicle.
